Abstract

This comprehensive white paper, commissioned by Hewlett-Packard Co., focuses on HP’s Adaptive EDGE Architecture and the range of functionality it delivers to users of voice over IP (VoIP).

Tests sought to demonstrate that HP ProCurve switches can deliver VoIP traffic on an end-to-end basis without degrading call quality – regardless of two variables: the level of congestion and the brand of IP PBX products in use.

Readers will learn about the effectiveness of the HP ProCurve switching infrastructure to deliver VoIP traffic. Tests focus on interoperability with IP PBX products from 3Com Corp. Avaya, Cisco Systems, Mitel Corp., NEC, and Nortel Networks.
