Abstract

H3C commissioned The Tolly Group to to verify features and performance for three families of multi-service routers (H3C MSR 20, H3C MSR 30, and H3C MSR 50). H3C’s multi-service routers address the requirements of small- to large-sized networks, serving as edge and core routers or even convergence access devices.

The Tolly Group selected one model from each router family for testing: H3C MSR 20-20, H3C MSR 30-40, and H3C MSR 50-60 and verified key features and functions, and measured performance across secure and nonsecure connections.

Tests involved evaluating more than 70 features for LAN and WAN protocols, Internet Protocol applications, Internet Protocol version 4 and 6 routing, Multiprotocol Label Switching, security, reliability, traffic monitoring, congestion management, network management, IPv6 tunneling, and Layer 2 functions. Testing was performed in October 2006.
