Abstract:
Huawei E600 Education Network series switches are Huawei self- developed new generation education industry Layer 3 Ethernet switches with high performance, high security, intelligent management and large scale user access capability. The E600 switches which is based on the new generation of high performance hardware and the unified Huawei VRP (Versatile Routing Platform) software platform, provide rich IPv6 features and numerous security features including SAVI, support working as the Super Virtual Fabric (SVF) client and simplified network management, and meed various types of education campus access and aggregation scenarios.
Tolly engineers verified Huawei’s E600 series switches in multiple areas including SVF, iStack, sFlow, policy VLAN, IPv4/IPv6 routing protocols, SEP/ERPS ring protection features, VCMP, EEE power saving feature, security features (PPPoE+, DHCP relay, DHCP server, DHCPv6 snooping, ND snooping, SAVI), and various authentication methods (802.1x, MAC, Portal). In addition, E600 interoperates with the Cisco Secure Access Control System (ACS) and H3C Intelligent Management Center (iMC) RADIUS servers for user authentication.
