Abstract

Huawei CloudEngine S12700E series switches are the flagship core switches in Huawei's CloudCampus portfolio. These feature-rich switches help customers easily upgrade their traditional campus networks to become service experience-centric, intelligent, and simplified.

Tolly engineers verified performance, specifications, and functions of Huawei's CloudEngine S12700E series switches. By leveraging Huawei-developed Solar chips and the high-performance Versatile Routing Platform (VRP) software platform, CloudEngine S12700E series switches are able to support integrated wireless access controller functionality and manage up to 10K (10,240) WLAN access points (APs) and 50,000 online users, achieving wired and wireless convergence as well as policy convergence. The switches come with 100GbE, 40GbE, 10GbE, and GbE interface cards, with the CloudEngine S12700E-12 providing industry-leading 288 x 100GbE high-density ports.

Test results apply to all Huawei CloudEngine S12700E models, including the CloudEngine S12700E-4, CloudEngine S12700E-8, and CloudEngine S12700E-12.
