Abstract

Wi-Fi 6 is the latest Wi-Fi standard and is widely used by new mobile devices. Compared with earlier standards, Wi-Fi 6 WLAN access points (APs) can provide higher bandwidth, a larger number of concurrent users, and lower latency.

Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. commissioned Tolly to evaluate the performance, ultra-long distance coverage, and other features of its outdoor Wi-Fi 6 APs, including AirEngine 8760R-X1, AirEngine 8760R-X1E, AirEngine 6760R-51, and AirEngine 6760R-51E.

Performance test results show that Huawei AirEngine outdoor APs provide excellent performance. The single-client (Huawei P40) performance of all tested APs is higher than 1.4Gbps. The AirEngine 8760R-X1E and AirEngine 6760R-51E support external antennas to provide ultra-long distance coverage, with about 40Mbps throughput at a distance of 700 meters.
