Abstract

TAVVE Software Co. commissioned The Tolly Group to evaluate its tsc/Automated Control against Concord Communications' Network Health V4.1n in three areas: root cause analysis, server SLA reporting and traffic trend analysis across a router interface.

In a series of tests in the areas of root cause analysis, server SLA reporting and traffic trend analysis, TAVVE Software Co.'s tsc/Automated Control (a package containing TAVVE's flagship tsc/EventWatch and tsc/PRM V1.6 network management applications) demonstrates accurate downtime statistics while Concord's Network Health was unable to determine outages. In addition, the TAVVE package went beyond accurately tracking trend and utilization to provide expert advice on over- and under-utilized interfaces. The TAVVE package delivered richer functionality than its competitor along with ease of installation and ease-of-use.
