Products tested from the following vendors: Armon Networking Inc., Axon Networks Inc, Frontier Software Development (later Netscout), HP Network Test Division, and Solcom Systems Inc.. 

Testing benchmarked RMON for Token Ring network environments.

Top performers were: Armon Networking (Best Manager), Frontier Software Development (Best Manager), and Solcom Systems (Best Probe).
