Abstract
Tolly Group Report #202117 (April 2002) shows Octasic OCT6100 Series echo-canceller delivers the highest and most consistent voice quality among three products tested.
Voice quality superiority. Across 150 highly impaired speech samples, OCT6100 achieved an average PESQ 3.43, compared with 3.31 for Ditech Quad-T1 and 2.96 for Tellabs IEC-64MC2B, giving Octasic a 0.12 grade lead over Ditech and 0.47 over Tellabs .
Consistency of results. OCT6100 posted the lowest standard deviation (0.26) versus Ditech (0.35) and Tellabs (0.45), indicating more reliable echo cancellation and steadier voice quality across all samples .
Conclusion: Octasic OCT6100 delivers better average voice quality and tighter performance consistency than the Ditech and Tellabs alternatives, making it a strong choice for VoP equipment requiring high-grade echo cancellation.
