Abstract

SR6600-X series routers are high performance aggregation services routers developed by H3C. Tolly engineers evaluated the performance of the high-end line cards on the SR6600-X to prove that the SR6600-X series routers’ forwarding performance meet requirements to serve as aggregation devices for enterprise WAN networks or edge devices for large campus networks.

Tolly engineers selected the FIP-600 high-end line card, which is equipped with H3C proprietary Apollo processors, to evaluate its capacity for different services such as multicast, GRE, PPPoE, etc. Tolly engineers also evaluated the SAP-4EXP line-card with 4 10GbE ports running in an SR6606-X to evaluate the performance of IPv4, IPv6, MPLS L3 VPN, etc. IPsec, GRE, L2TP, Web portal authentication and several other service features were also evaluated.

SR6600-X family devices can provide aggregate throughput of 40Gbps when outfitted with an optional SA-4EXP line card.
