Abstract
When evaluating switches intended to be at the core of the data center, IT professionals must be assured of performance and reliability along with a rich feature set to handle the demands of sophisticated networking.
H3C Technology Company, Ltd. (H3C) commissioned Tolly to evaluate their S12500 Series Switch. Tolly engineers tested the H3C S12500 series core routing switches to verify performance and features that make the S12500 series switches suitable for use as core switches in data center, enterprise, campus, and Metropolitan-Area Networks (MANs).
The H3C S12500 series core routing switches demonstrated high reliability, high forwarding rate and rich array of Layer 2 and Layer 3 features, network protocols, security features, Quality of Service (QoS), multicast protocols, Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) features and interoperability with Cisco products. The 48 GbE copper module, 48 GbE fiber module and 8 10GbE fiber modules under test all demonstrated wire-speed throughput.
