Abstract

As data center demands increase, network architects must seek out switches that provide flexibility and performance for their deployments. Switches at this level must provide high performance and comprehensive Layer 2 and Layer 3 functionality.

ZTE Corporation commissioned Tolly to evaluate the ZTE ZXR10 5960 Series All 10Gigabit Switch. Tolly benchmarked the performance of the ZXR10 5960 Series and validated the Layer 2, Layer 3 and MPLS functionality common to the series including Multicast, QoS, security, and data center features (Edge Virtual Bridging and Data Center Bridging features). In addition, Tolly verified that the ZTE ZXR10 5960 Series provides several 40GbE interfaces that can be optionally configured as 4x 10GbE interfaces.
