Abstract
Intel Corp. commissioned The Tolly Group to examine the Intel TIGPR2U Carrier Grade Server and its capability to support rapid message processing in a carrier-class network.
The Tolly Group examined the TIGPR2U running an Alcatel/Nextenso Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS) Proxy Relay application that receives and sends MMS messages to proxy clients on the network. Testing revealed that the TIGPR2U and the Alcatel Nx MMS proxy Relay version 2.0 application delivered high-performance messaging service in a variety of message size scenarios.
Tolly Group engineers measured the transaction per second rate of the TIGPR2U and the MMS Proxy software, along with the cumulative hourly rate for the number of processed messages. Engineers subjected the TIGPR2U to variety of scenarios, such as forcing it to handle message sizes of 5, 10 and 15 Kbytes.
Results show that the TIGPR2U and accompanying Alcatel Nx MMS Proxy Relay hold up extremely well under intense messaging loads in a carrier network. For details of the test results, refer to Test Summary 203111 or download the Test Summary by clicking on the link below.
