Abstract

Certeon, Inc. commissioned The Tolly Group to evaluate its S-Series Acceleration Appliance, a device designed to provide comprehensive acceleration for all traffic types. For this report The Tolly Group tested the device performance when accelerating both secure and unsecure Web application traffic.

Tolly Group engineers benchmarked the Certeon S-2000, subjecting the appliance to a series of acceleration performance tests that identify how the S-2000 handles improves application response times when handling requests from over both congested an uncongested links. Engineers also examined the ability of the S-2000 to scale applications by enabling a much larger pool of users to access a centralized application across an existing WAN. Lastly, engineers verified a number of security functions/features resident on the S-2000.
